How can we as theatremakers acknowledge and process the problematic elements of theatre while exploring and holding the poignant, beautiful, and important ones in the light? What does it mean to subvert musical theatre traditions? How do performers, designers, and producers make a text their own? A site-specific workshop production focusing on queering and deconstruction of the nuclear family, discussion of mental health, and intentional interrogation of traditions associated with musical theatre and performance.
